An Introspection into a Human’s Life. The One & Only WE have.
WE all were born naked, face the same fate, and will pass on naked when our time has come. Can’t take a single cent with us, but should leave a rich legacy for future generations – a lasting footprint for humanity.
What lies in between since WE came out of this world?
If we were lucky, to enjoy a happy childhood; a father & mother who cared with deep insight, giving their best. Siblings who loved us; or were jealous because we seemed 2BE more loved.
Pre-school, Kindergarten. The first circle of little mates; we learned how to share n’ play. Living each moment seemingly till eternity. Time felt timeless.
Primary school. I still remember when my grade1 teacher slapped me in the face because I felt hungry, a cookie in my mouth during the lesson.
The teenage years, when the heartbeat sped up for a beautiful girl. Hormone-driven, a lightning spark onto life in love. Such intense feelings. Huge smiles, but also crocodile tears, when the heart was broken into single pieces, desires in vain brushed on a wall full of dreams.
My first car, a VW Beetle. Alone, or in company with close friends laughing & talking the road away. Loud music: The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Santana, like a moving-portable-disco beats the road off; intensely lived, not always sober & flying high nights.
The girl (boy) of our dreams; proudly holding the steering wheel in one hand and her in the arm. A mindset of BEing THE BOSS. The universe as the servant 4 all desires coming through an ego-centered "I".
Entering the corporate world. The first job & money earned. To be employed. A lack of degrees for appropriately paid work 2 conquer the career ladder. Loyal colleagues or the opposite: envy, gossip, & competition.
A found love for life. A marriage. A child to raise. Responsibilities of being a loving mother, with hopefully a devoted father by her side. Strongly together, through thick & thin, whatever it takes!
The thirties, forties – time always seemed to fly away like a boomerang without coming back.
Turning 50. A magic day! About half of life gone. No return ticket. Facing a midlife crisis or starting all over again from scratch – so I did.
Some of us still look young this age; others old in years beyond the passport birth figures.
"One of the secrets to staying young is the right attitude & mission in life, whatever it throws at us! A discovered & found purpose, an explorer’s curiosity – 2BE alive, to live life by doing what one loves. Non-stop gained knowledge with an open mind – a parachute opened in time."
Love & gratitude 4 life; a down-to-earth mindset eager to unlearn & rewire the brain. New insights gained, powered by neuroplasticity – the human’s motherboard, a muscle with the will 2 endlessly update.
To have reached peace of mind, our hearts beat not only for oneself, but by caring, sharing, and love for others in need!
